In front of an assembly made up of professionals, personalities and journalists, Anna Albuixech was awarded the title of General Manager of The Year, during the European Hotel Awards 2020 ceremony which took place in the hotel’s VIP lounges W Barcelona.
Saturday February 1, 2020 at the W Barcelona Hotel, Marriott Group, the ceremonial evening of the European Hotel Awards 2020 was held. During this prestigious event, 9 laureates were honored individually or collectively. Among the winners who were rewarded with Anna Albuixech: Georges Blanc, Anti Lepik, David Muñoz, Olita and Hans-Henrik Koelby, Flavio Colantuoni, Annie Féolde, Giorgo Pinchiorri and Riccardo Monco, Thierry Lavalley and Ferran & Albert Adria.
After the warm welcome speech by Stijn Oyen, General Manager of W Barcelona, Bertrand Glory opened the evening on behalf of Champagne Collet and Jérôme Chapman, publication director of the magazine Références Hôteliers Restaurateurs International and Founding President of the European Hotel Awards, presented the landmarks of the European Hotel Awards before honoring the winners.
Under a shower of applause, successively the winners took the stage, little stars and happiness in their eyes, while savoring their trophies. The 2020 selection of the European Hotel Awards, made by members of the EHA Academy, was of a high standard. The trophies signed by the Maison Schaffner in Alsace, sculptures in gold, honored the quality of the winners with their luxurious design.
This beautiful ceremonial evening was followed by an excellent dinner prepared by 3 chefs: Romain Fornell (Caelis), Carles Abellan (La Barra de Carles Abellan) and Roman Gernoth (W Barcelona), all accompanied by Champagne Collet, official partner.
